At Red Feather Upfitter, we don’t just build emergency and utility vehicles—we engineer solutions that lives depend on. The company was founded by Cy, a master technician, fabricator, and veteran public servant who has spent his life serving the community and mastering the mechanical trades.
Frontline Experience Meets Master Craftsmanship Cy’s expertise is backed by decades of hands-on experience in high-stakes environments:
When you partner with Cy, you aren't dealing with a high-volume, assembly-line corporation. You are working with a loyal friend, a dedicated neighbor, and an expert craftsman who treats every vehicle as if his own family or crew were riding in it. From municipal fire engines and law enforcement upfits to heavy-duty farm and utility rigs, Cy builds to the highest standard—period.
Frontline Experience Meets Master Craftsmanship Cy’s expertise is backed by decades of hands-on experience in high-stakes environments:
- The Fire Service: As the current Fire Chief for LCFD4 and a long-time Lieutenant at LCFD5, Cy has spent years on the frontlines. He knows firsthand how equipment performs under extreme pressure, giving him an invaluable, user-first perspective when custom-building emergency apparatus.
- Fleet Maintenance: For years, Cy served as the backbone of the LCFD5 fleet, custom-building chassis and maintaining their grass trucks, support units, and emergency vehicles to ensure they were always response-ready.
- Master Diesel Mechanic: Building on an extensive professional career as a heavy-duty diesel technician, Cy brings deep, comprehensive knowledge of diesel powertrains, complex electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and structural mechanics to every project.
